Gill's standout performance was a double century, scoring 208 against New Zealand in Hyderabad.
Mohammed Shami
Mohammed Shami turned his year around in the second half, becoming the highest wicket-taker at the Cricket World Cup with 24 scalps at an astonishing average of 10.7. His record-breaking 7/57 against New Zealand in the semi-final showcased Shami's impactful return to the playing XI after missing the initial games.
Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli's stellar 2023 included a phenomenal performance at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, where he scored a record-breaking 765 runs, the most ever in a men's Cricket World Cup. Kohli completed a tally of 50 ODI centuries, finishing the year with 1377 runs at an average of 72.47.
Daryl Mitchell
Daryl Mitchell stood out with 1204 runs in 2023, the third-highest by a New Zealand player in a calendar year. His exceptional World Cup performance included two centuries against India, contributing significantly to New Zealand's middle order.
